[RESOLVED] Download file speed from NICA Cluster outside of the JINR LAN« Back to Questions List

Now I am working outside of the JINR LAN. I have tried to download big simulation and reconstruction root files from NICA Cluster. I could not achieve download speed more than 20 MBit/s. Is it download speed limit or I can download files faster? Inside the JINR LAN I had being achieving ~110 MBit/s.

Your Internet speed is measured not to the JINR server, but to some random server from 2ip.ru

My provider is Voronezh-telecom (Воронеж-телеком). Test server is 2ip.ru as I wrote before.

Which provider do you use? To which server is your speed of 250 Mbps?

It is download speed limit of your home Internet provider.

Average speed now only ~2MBit/c. So to download the file which size ~3 GB I need to wait ~30 minutes. It is very long time! I have checked my download speed using 2ip.ru Internet speed test service. And I have obtained ~250 MBit/s.
